Blanche Neptune, 101, of Chanute, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.
Blanche was born in Chanute on January 23, 1909, the daughter of John Bert and Elizabeth Emma (McMillen) Endsley. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1927.
She was united in marriage to Harold W. Neptune on June 19, 1928 in Chanute. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1996.
She was a homemaker.
Blanche was a member of the Grant Avenue Baptist Church since 1938.
Blanche is survived by a daughter, Barbara McCune and her husband Larry “Monte” of Chanute; a son, Robert Neptune and his wife Shirley of Tyler, TX; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; and three sisters, Velma Endsley, Enda Keller and Leona Wittich.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Grant Avenue Baptist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
